Representatives of ICMA's international affiliates met this afternoon to discuss issues of mutual concern. Representatives discussed the importance of sharing info on sustainability initiatives and next generation issues as well as their desire to increase the number of local government management exchange programs. My own ICMA international experience started with an exchange to the Arun District Council in the UK in 2000. The manager with whom I shared the exchange and her husband remain close friends today.
